reclaimed wood kitchens
in country style, from solid wood.
kimo. — the reclaimed wood kitchen by MOCFOR. Made to measure from selectable elements.
The story behind the wood
everything was something else before.
Jedes Brett unserer kimo.
Holzalter: 60–120 Jahre.
Verarbeitung: massiv, ohne Pressspan, ohne Fournier.

Frequently asked questions
Reclaimed wood kitchens — what you should know.
What is a reclaimed wood kitchen?
A reclaimed wood kitchen is made from wood that has already lived 60-120 years in another function — as a house wall, roof, railway sleeper or driftwood. At MOCFOR we use solid teak and oak from Asia and Europe, carefully reconditioned and reworked for the kitchen. Every fibre tells a story. No chipboard, no veneer — 100% solid wood.
What does a reclaimed wood kitchen cost?
How do reclaimed wood kitchens differ from normal solid wood kitchens?
While solid wood kitchens are made from freshly felled wood, reclaimed wood kitchens use wood with history and patina. Advantages: higher dimensional stability from decades of natural drying, unmistakable character from cracks, knotholes and discolouration, sustainability through reuse. Every reclaimed wood kitchen is one of a kind — no two are alike.
How do I care for a reclaimed wood kitchen?
Our reclaimed wood kitchens are treated with natural hard-wax oil — water- and dirt-repellent, yet breathable. Care: wipe regularly with a damp cloth, re-oil every 6-12 months. Reclaimed wood worktops should not be cut on directly or exposed to hot pots — we recommend stone or stainless-steel inserts for these areas.
How long does delivery of a reclaimed wood kitchen take?
From the consultation to the finished reclaimed wood kitchen typically takes 8-14 weeks — planning, measuring, making, delivery and installation. For elaborate custom builds with special woods it can take longer. We handle the installation ourselves — across Germany and, on request, across Europe.
Can I design my reclaimed wood kitchen myself?
Yes — every kimo. reclaimed wood kitchen is an individual made-to-measure piece from coordinated selectable elements (sink, hob, islands, cabinets). We design the layout, heights, materials and appliances together and fit everything exactly to your room, your wall and your appliances.
