There are many rumors about the legendary British statesman and two-time Prime Minister, who was born in 1874 and died at the old age of 91. A matter of fact is that he appreciated cigars, hard liquor, and good food, and vehemently closed himself off to physical exercise (quote: “No sports!”). It is also a fact that the striking Brit made many of his politically far-reaching decisions from a huge, comfortable Chesterfield chair. Reason enough for us to name one of our most impressive armchairs the Minister.
Like most of our armchairs and sofas, the sturdy armchair, which, due to its size, can tolerate a bit more space in order to fully show itself, is made by experienced saddlers from high-quality cowhide. Thanks to his four castors on the individually turned oak feet, he does not lack the freedom of movement - in contrast to Winston Churchill - which is why his location can also be varied at short notice. The individually hand-set brass rivets ensure the typical Chesterfield look as well as its characteristic knotted diamond pattern.
Our Minister is definitely an armchair that is worthy of the high demands of a statesman with principles and invites you to sit back and maybe read a good book again. Incidentally, the British Prime Minister at the time must have done exactly that in his Chesterfield armchair, because what many do not know: Winston Churchill was a passionate reader and writer and even received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.

Seat edges are reinforced with firm rigid foam and the outer material is firmly sewn by hand stitch by stitch.
